Charlotte sighed and seemed to hear something. It was spring, so some mares were still foaling. "FOAL!" she said quickly and dropped the saddle on her tack box and sprinted out the door. FOAL! meant a mare was foaling.

"I think Cash's mom. She bred to Chrome this year too." She said as she jogged, reaching the 20 stall mare and foal barn. She entered the third stall to the right, and sure enough, Overdraft was on the ground, pushing a foal out.

Charlotte bent down at the stall door, opening both latches. One top, one bottom. She pulled the door open in case Overdraft needed help.
