Oh no! What an awful thing to come home to.
My dog, Waffle, caught and killed a young squirrel at my in-laws house and I almost cried. I was mad at him for days, even though it was bound to happen. He was watching them for weeks, just waiting. I had never seen him move so fast, he was out the dog door and flying off the porch before I even saw what he was going for. That's him in my avatar, looking all innocent.
Poor baby bunnies. Sorry.

the hatred has kind of wore off now. hes still locked in the basement with food and water though to teach him it was bad.

Its not really fair to punish the dog... he was only doing what comes naturally to him. Thats like punishing you for doing something in your human nature. It probably wasn't a good idea to leave the bunnies in a place he could get at them.
