Trying again..vaccine to PREVENT coryza. Anyone tried or have info?

I hope you get your answers, they have been in my damaged brain (post tumor) before too...I had answers once too, but Im not 100%...need to re-confirm so keep me posted!

Here are a few of the questions on CV that I still have floating around in my little pea brain.

1. Is there a Coryza vaccine that doesn't need to be used right away & can be held for a month to do the second round of shots?
I hope so just for cost effectiveness, if not, it seems worth biting the bullet and paying for it...

2. Are those first 2 shots the end of it, or will the chickens need a yearly booster? As I understand it, from reading the UK websites on Vaccines, they need an annual vaccination, just like dog and cat shots. I could be wrong, but I think this yearly.

3. Is there a minimum or maximum age to give the vaccine? Its the age of the birds that has been my issue, I have mixed ages in my flock - what is the youngest and oldest??? Found it once, and the dosage - Its on a veterinary website I have misplaced, I am sooo sorry (poor excuse of swiss cheese memory!)

4. I know the vaccine shouldn't be given to sick birds, but what about birds that had earlier symptoms that might have been Coryza or any number of other diseases. They could be "cured" carriers, or not. Probably, the vaccine won't help them if they've had Coryza and/or are carrriers, but will it at least NOT hurt them?
I dont wanna kill my birds either! Hope we find out about this one!

5. Is this vaccine like the ILT (Larangyo...something) vaccine, in that it will protect them but make them carriers that infect other birds when we take ours to shows? You and I think absolutely alike here!! I want to protect my birds! I wish the best for everyone else, and will do what I can to keep them safe. Question: If you have or have been exposed to Coryza, and have Vaccinated for it, will your birds be clean and pass the NPIP test for shipping eggs/birds???

Hey Country, seems like more people are reading yours and good for you!!! I just bumped my rant up, thought I'd bump yours up too. What gets me is so very few have any opinions until it happens to them and its then again, someone elses fault. Here's to doing good!!!

I dont need a "treatment" that is for after the fact.
I want to prevent Coryza from happening in my flock, or prevent its spread if their is exposure at some time, etc??

That is the purpose of the VACCINE? And I dont want a drinking water solution, but thanks

Due to the fact that I use a large animal tub in addition to smaller automatic water bowls for my birds, water medications are not an option for medications. I need to use injectable medications for 70-90 birds of varying ages. I can handle each and every one of my birds, many during the day, but any I miss I can get in bed at night! They dont mind! I've done it for worming with Ivemex on the shoulder and use zip ties to identify who I put the meds on...

Which poultry supply did this come from? I found it once, but lost it, it's not Jeffers, but a veterinary place...do you have the link?

Just checking in. I have a new post on my Vaccine site. The deeper we get, the further from the "truth" it seems to be. I guess what we need to do is look at our location, the expectations that we have and realization of what they are going to be exposed to, shows, open farm days, and your soil.
I ask some other types of quesitons on testing and precautions and actually sent it off to the Maine State Vet. The more we read, the more we question.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hey Country, hows life going? I have been going around with my thoughts on giving shots.
Something that was said to me about having one type of coryza (or ms, ILT etc) is if you give the shots to new birds, they come in contact with your origional birds, then there is a possibility that they can pass this back to them? Especially if the cure is a different strain of bacteria. Then you have a whole ill crew.
This is what I was looking at. Its something I guess I'd ask the state vet.
Either way, tell me I'm wrong- PLEASE!
Hope you are doing well, your birds too!
