Hello,

I delving into the world of incubator hatching. I have an INCUTHERM™ TEMP/HUMIDITY GUAGE PLUS which says it shows temp and relative humidity. Now this relative humidity is where I am thrown. So, the air temp should be 100 degrees, but I've seen different humidity percentages based on wet-bulb, dry-bulb, and then the relative humidity, etc. I am a bit confused:confused:
Can anyone tell me what the humidity % should be with the incutherm plus?, please?:fl

Thank you!

Days 1-18... I don't care which incubator.... 35-45% humidity inside the incubator will give my best hatches every time. Run completely dry first to let it stabilize and see where it runs as is. Once that is determined you can fill an individual well at a time and let stabilize a few hours in between in order to get a more accurate reading. I go lower for very dark eggs more like 20-40%. On day 18 I raise humidity inside the bator to 60-65% for lock down.

Get ANOTHER temp/hygrometer... the built in ones can be very inaccurate and that is the difference between life and death or even good or bad hatches.

I have a few of these... https://www.amazon.com/ETHMEAS-Ther...rd_wg=S6Llh&psc=1&refRID=2EPV742PXF6YHP2EE4T5

Move your eggs around inside the bator every day or two to help ensure even development because even in forced air there will be warmer/cooler pockets.

The ONLY impact YOUR ambient humidity will have is how MANY wells you need to fill in order to reach the correct (relative) humidity inside the bator. Yes... VERY confusing for MANY people, I'm sure! :barnie

Oh sorry... I misunderstood the question.

The gauge I showed... the probe reads inside the bator and the unit itself reads outside the bator, display switchable between the two by using a button. You need to know your humidity INSIDE the bator, all else is essentially irrelevant.

As far as I can tell, the one you mention will only measure using the probe.

Hope this is still helpful. :)
