Trying my best to recreate this coop. Need advice please!

Also finished final run plans.
Tried to make the connection to the coop not as awkward as before.

27 2x4x8
8 2x4x10
87 sqft of space including area under coop

Also might make a small door under the coop for access.

Yep, that would surely help.
If they do crack down the road, then you can cover with metal ridge cap.

And what about just putting some exterior silicone where the wall and roof meet?

Might work.

I'd still try to get some drip edge under the edges and eaves.

Left shingles in the sun today. It really helped when applying.

Now to start on the run!
