Trying not to panic..........but.

I know how you feel. I have spent a lot of money on silkie eggs and have them develop all the way to the end. I wonder if its something to do with the air sacs getting damaged while shipping which makes it harder for the chicks to hatch.

Wow I did not realize shipping could damage that from the beginning. Did you finally get silkies?

Oh yes I got some silkies!! I bought chicks from some great breeders. It was well worth it!! The hen in my avatar is mine.

I have hatched tons of silkie eggs in my incubator and they all have been shipped to me. Yes, I have had any and every single kind of problem you could possible think of, exspecially the air cells. I just had 32 eggs shipped to me and 8 of them have loose air cells. The rest seem to be pretty good. All of my silkies have hatched a day or two late never on time. Most of the problem with my silkies is once they are hatched they seem to develop leg problems and i usually have to tie them up and within a matter of a day the problem is resolved.. I have hatched out other kinds and have to agree silkies are a little more difficult.

So sorry for your loss
