I just had a chicken coop built by a handy man, but he charges $45 an hour. I want to add an opening to one of the walls for air flow at night in the heat of the summer, like now. The coop is made of plywood. I was thinking of finding an old used cabinet door with hinges to use for the door and adding a latch to keep it closed in winter. All I would have to do is cut a rectangular hole in the wood and staple hardware cloth to the opening. The problem is I know nothing about saws, and how you would go about starting the first cut into the wall. How do you make the first cut? What tool is used for that
?
