Trying to blend, but Mom thinks I'm a Boy

He really doesn't look anything like my Australorp roos looked like. They were much blacker and shinier and larger even at that age. His comb is very dark as well and mine were very red. Just my observations.
 
Well, I suppose that if the hatchery mis-sexed him, they could have sent me the wrong breed. But I have about 15 of these birds, and to the best of my knowlege, they are not black sexlinks, they are solid black. But I do agree he is not very heavy set looking.

This is the first time I actually understood the pointy saddle feathers. I have a black Australorp too, but she looks like the one in the background with the rounded feathers. She is also only 12 weeks old, but is very rounded out, dark black, and shiny-- looks totally different than this guy.
