Mods - Didn't know where to post..........

I have found someone who is parting with five breeding pairs of white sebastopol geese. I am only in need of one or two birds.

I am looking for one or more people who would be interested in divying up the rest of them.

Thanks,

I am in Lewis County, WA... I might be interested but don't want to spend a fortune. How much are they? Where are they located? Can they be shipped? I am kind of far and without car right now but would be interested if it can somehow work out? Not sure if it can though... or if I can afford them. Do you think it would be a problem to add them in with other adult geese? Also, are they white or color?

They are white. They are located in Northern CA.

The seller, at this point does not want to sort them out and sell seperately, which is why I am trying to find some people to go in on it with me. He wanted $100.00 each for them, but would said would give me a better price.

I am trying to see if he can bring or get someone to bring them to the show in Stevenson next weekend.

I've gotta go now, may be off for a while, the power is flickering because of a big wind storm.

I would definitely take one pair if I can figure a way to get them here. I only have a "local car". Can't really take it far or fit 2 geese inside.
And I guess they are all pairs? No trios?

If you can deliver them to me, then I would take them for sure and just pay you cash on delivery. If you have to go to Northern CA to get them then it wouldn't be too far out of your way.
Can adult geese even be shipped? I don't even know if that is an option.

I am located about half way between Portland and Seattle

I've shipped in adult geese from WA to NE and OR to Nebraska...no problems...no troubles once they arrived. You need special airline approved shipping boxes...if I think long enough and hard enough I may be able to remember where I got my boxes...it worked out awesome!

I live in Eastern WA, so that is probably not going to work unless you can pick them up in Stevenson. And that would depend on if he brings them to the show, which does not look good.

Yes adult geese can ship through the mail. They need special boxes and shipping though, such as pressurized plane rides ect.

I had some geese shipped to me from Kansas both 20+ lbs in individual boxes, and I still have a box. It's from http://www.hm-e.net/ .

They were in the Swan n.e.s.t and did very well. They are about $25 for the box I think but they are very well ventilated and have lived through a couple of trips to and from a show and to the vet since I got the birds, so they can be reused just maybe not for shipping.

Ok then... that is no problem. I do want some but I can take it or leave it. If it turns out that you only need one more person to take a pair or whatever, if you want to keep me in mind as a back-up and ship them.
If the price on shipping isn't too outrageous then I'd go for that. We are kind of far apart and there's just not much we can do about that.
