Trying to figure door out for chicken coop going out to the run

Your husband did the right thing and built one instead of buying. It will most for sure last longer than a prefab.

If he made it out of brick, I'm positive he should be able to screw an auto door door to it. It might be advisable to buy the door first to get the size of the hole right. I've only used anchors in concrete before but they make screws for drilling in bricks.
 
If you're thinking about a big bad wolf, it seems like the best choice but do bricks hold moisture anymore than wood? I honestly don't know. I haven't done any research on bricks but may be worth looking into depending where you live. 😬

We are currently still working on it. But it's looking good.

I love the soft color of the brick. Is it reclaimed or new-made-to-look-aged?

Make sure to plan for plenty of ventilation at the top level. :)
Nope this is the first time he has ever done anything with bricks. He says it's taking him to long because he doesn't know what he is doing.
