These are my Hens, what do you think?? The RIR is the same hen in two different pictures. The hen with the brightest red comb...
Are your RIR eggs light colored too??I don’t have any experience with Favorells but I do have experience with RIR and Wyandotte. Your RIR is most definitely the one laying the mystery egg. She looks a lot like mine, floppy red comb and wattles. The comb on mine really filled in and got floppy within a week or two after she started.
Yes, and her shade varies from day to day. See the picture I attached. the three light ones are hers. Sometimes they have speckles, sometimes they don’t. But they are all lighter than my ISA brown’s. My previous RIR laid darker eggs so I assume it’s a variation? Are your RIR eggs light colored too??
I do agree. What other hens do you have?? How many?? Wonder when my golden will start to lay? what color are the goldens eggsYes, and her shade varies from day to day. I’ve got the ISA brown (the darker eggs from my pic), the RIR, a Columbian Wyandotte, and an Easter Egger. The RIR and CW are the older two (34 weeks) and the ISA and EE are younger (25 weeks). I’ve only got the two laying right now, though the EE seems to be within a week of laying based on reddening comb, widening pelvic bones, and today she squatted. My Wyandotte, well... not sure what she’s doing. 34 weeks and not much happening with her. IDK. But Wyandotte lay brown eggs, as well.I do agree. What other hens do you have?? How many??
