Trying to find out WHERE these hens are?

Hope for Hens: Help Pasado’s Rescue Factory Farm Chickens <-----It says the "Rescue" organization is in Washington? I live in Northern California and they only took a number of the hens, I was hoping the rest are here in California and that it isn't too late for them, Has anyone else heard about this? Or have better information?

P.S. I won't be getting any chickens from a rescue organization since I am not a Vegetarian, which seems to be a qualification for adoption...weird.

I would call them, as it looks like the rescue is this weekend.

well the rescue organization that is near my home requires vet references, rescue organization memberships and a vegetarian lifestyle to adopt chickens

Wow...thats hefty. I am surprised they are able to find them homes. I understand where they are coming from, and what they are trying to prevent, but they are excluding a pretty high percentage of good homes.

If you're set on "rescuing" battery hens it's not difficult if there's an egg farm near you. They turn their hens over regularly & usually sell the outgoing birds cheap. Much cheaper than the "rehoming fees" most rescue organizations charge.
