Ok going to give this a try,I have left 3 eggs under a broody hen and going to see if she hatches them out.How long does the process take? Once they do hatch do I need to seperate from rest of chickens and Rooster,or let nature and the hen take care of the brood?????????

It takes approximately 21 days for a hen to incubate eggs and hatch chicks. This can vary by a day or so either way.

I've done it both ways, separating a hen and her chicks and leaving them with the flock. There is no hard and fast rule on how it should be done. A lot depends on the personalities of the birds involved, and the living situation the birds are in. That said, I generally prefer to separate a hen and chicks. Easy for me to say, I have two broody pens which are used exclusively for hens and chicks.
