that is what mine are crossed with a lavender ameraucana and there eggs are olive and pretty dark. More of mid a mid grade olive. very pretty eggs.I found out that my "Olive Eggers" are a Barnevelder mix (from a Barnevelder roo). Would they stil have a chance to lay a green egg?
lol hmmm can not say about 4 weeks ago. probably at 5 months. did you get yours from Fair Oaks? may of been the same woman lol.I'm so excited!! At what age did yours start laying? Mine are 21 weeks and arn't doing much. A little red in the combs, and that's about it. I was wondering if they tend to be on the slow side, on how early they lay.
X2 and the advise on the black one is spot on tooI'd guess that Shadow, Coco, and Cinnamon are Oliver Eggers or Easter Eggers. They're very pretty!
Gina's a Silver Laced Wyandotte (and a really beautiful one, too!) and yep, Lulu definitely isn't!Look at the bottoms of her feet - if they're yellow, she's probably a Jersey Giant, if they're white, she's probably a Black Australorp. This isn't always a for-sure way to tell, especially if a chicken is from a hatchery, but it might help. If you wait till they're all the way grown, you can probably tell by size - a JG will be very big.
