trying to keep temp at 99.5

i have a sears and roebuck incubator that wont keep a steady temp at 99.5,it goes off at 100.0 and back on at 98.7,trying to adjust but it wont do it,1 degree back and forth no matter what i put it on,has anyone had trouble like this before,or do i need to change something?

Have you tried replacing the incubator's thermostat?

That's a pretty darn minimal swing, IMO. Is it a forced air or still? I'd be inclined to just leave it be....

its force air,im changing my wafer to see if thats my problem
