This is my first year trying to raise turkey. We started with 16 and im down to 13. My babies are about 4 weeks old. Earlier this week we were holding one and after putying her back in the coop we realized she was limping. Tonight I noticed that she has curled toes on one foot. Should I leave it or what to I do to help her? I really don't want to loose any more. You might have to zoom in on the foot to see it.

Sometimes overcrowding can cause things like this to happen. It's hard losing birds but it's not your fault, some just never make it past the egg or babies. :(

On Monday we were holding her a lot and when we put her down she was limping . Never noticed anything before. Then today I noticed the toes were curled. I have seen people make a kind of cast but don't know if she is to old for that to help her or what? She walks and uses the foot to try and scratch. She seams to be normal just the toes curled

I've never tried it but Ive heard people have used popsicle sticks and other things to help the toes straighten out. As long as the turkey can walk it should be okay. I've had some birds with deformed feet too and they lived through it all into adulthood.
