I had been reading about how Tractor Supply has a tendency to sell Roo’s as Pullets. I was feeling pretty good about our 6 “hens”. We’ve been getting about 3 eggs every day and have been for about a week now. Being a chicken shepherd is a learning process. I knew a little but not a lot…. I had started having some doubts on at least 1 hen… I read some articles about sexing chickens and my doubts grew a little stronger. All our birds are as friendly as can be but they’re not all “she” hens. Took a few pics and sent them to a buddy that has much more knowledge than I have, and he confirmed my doubts. Out of my 6 pullets, 3 are Roos! 50% out of what was supposed to be 90 some % accuracy! Lol. It is what it is. As long as the Roos act right, they won’t become “pot” chickens. Now I’m looking for about 3 more hens. I’ve learned a few more things since this journey began. Not saying I can’t be fooled, but I won’t be fooled as easily next time. Now I’m trying to figure if I should get more chicks or look for some that are a little older. Anyway, enjoy some pics of my miniature raptors!

Y'all!!! I appreciate that more than you know! I was almost certain that at least 1 was a rooster. The one with the "White Collar" I was almost certain. Well good! "Vanilla" can make it another day. Thanks Y'all!!!
HaHa! I guess I need to do even more reading! LOL... now, 3 of them need to quit being freeloaders!

I don't see any boys in your bunch. Females develop large combs and wattles when they start to lay, which yours are. Male RSL would also be mostly white instead of red. You would see male pointed feathers and hear crowing by now too.
That makes me feel better! I didn't want Roos but if I had them, I'd at least want them to be manly!

I do not see any roosters in the birds pictured above especially if they are of laying age. Large combs and wattles in production and hybrid hens is common. At this age they should have saddle and pointed hackle feathers.
See! this is why I'm in this group! Thank You for the information. Now, you know you've effectively taken away my excuse to get more Chickens.... I'll just have to tell my wife "oops"... I thought I was replacing the roosters with more hens! LOL Thanks again!

I am currently awaiting another order of 20 chicks so I can’t judge💁🏼‍♀️
