Im leaning towards a black cochin. He/She is SO sweet. Smaller then my silkies. They are all around 8wks. She/He has feathered out fairly quickly compared to the rest.
My FAVORITE chicken...I'd love to get more!

Looks like a Blue Cochin. Black Cochins would be pure black, but your bird appears to be a more bluish grey laced coloring, making it a Blue. Very pretty!

Maybe Blue?! I sure hope so! That's exciting news!
I guess she does have white/pale grey markings around the face and is a 'faded' dark black/greyish color all over?!
Im new to this, so thanks for your help & patience ; )
Unsure if the breed is known to be docile & friendly (I have some research to do)
But like I said I LOVE this lil ones temperament. He/She is SO calm compared to my others. I really wouldn't mind getting more if thats the case ; )

I'd agree about the Orps: such a friendly and low-key breed.
