Tsc barred rock chics dying

So we purchased 17 chics 3/7. We lost one last night, and another displaying similar symptoms today.
) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)

Barred rock app. 4-5 days old.
.22 ounces.
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Laying on belly eyes shut, listless and can’t move far. Seems eyes can’t really open much.

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
1 bird overnight and died, another overnight but still alive.

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
2 so far.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
I don’t know
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Water and chic starter, but unknown if consuming.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
last night my wife cleaned poo off of some chickens anal area, was normal I think, I cannot be sure if these were the affected chics or not.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
None, attempted to administer water with a syringe, but only a very small amount drank.

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Probably self treatment, but my sister is a vet and may be able to supply some support.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
We are using a 75 gallon fish tank with cardboard in the corners to round them, approximately 2-3 inches pine shavings, 100 watt heat lamp and cone fixture 1/2 way down on left side, water and food on right.chicks usually hang out under light.
So I’m considering getting a stronger lamp, probably a it one so there isn’t light 24/7. This is our first year with chickens.

Update. The chic passes some diarrhea when my wife weighed it. It was mostly yellow with small spots of black and white.

Do you have a tractor store nearby? I’d personally dash out and get some corid ASAP.

So I’m considering getting a stronger lamp, probably a it one so there isn’t light 24/7. This is our first year with chickens.

Photos would be very helpful. Chicks, brooder, poop.
What is the temperature under the light?
Check all the chicks bums for pasting, if the vents are clogged, then they need to be cleaned off gently. Put a little coconut oil or vaseline on the vent to help the poop from sticking.

Pasting can be from too cold/too hot temperatures, for your situation since you mention 100W light bulb and chicks staying under the light, they may be too cold.
Increase your temperature in that one spot to see if it helps.
Do what you can to get the chicks hydrated first, dip their beak in water, see if they will drink or you can drip water beside their beak.

There’s the setup. Everybody looks pretty good. There was some pasting yesterday, and we cleaned them up, and I lowered the heat lamp to where you see it here. Right now, my wife has the chick in a sock and is carrying it around in her hoodie. I don’t think this is a good idea, but she says the other chicks were pecking him. Sigh. We are going to tractor supply in a bit, I can pick up some corid then.

I would give each chick 1-2drops of Poultry Nutri-Drench daily for a few days.
Corid is fine to have on hand, week old chicks rarely suffer from Coccidiosis overload, it takes 5-7days to incubate, usually it's seen in 2wk or older chicks.
Chicks do love to huddle, but they look like they may need a bit more heat - while a good guideline to go by is 90-95F the first week and step down 5F each week, behavior should also be observed. If they are not venturing to get food/water and staying under the light, then they need a little more heat. You'll find a happy balance I'm sure.

So the other chick died. All the other chicks are happy and alert visually. We picked up some svarthona from a local breeder and she advised me to put 2teaspoons of corid per gallon for a few days then some probiotics. The young lady at the tractor supply was in that conversation, and she really knew her stuff! To bad she’s not local. The chics are at the end with the heat lamp, but they are not directly under the lamp. We did get some 250w bulbs, we are going to install that tomorrow and hopefully I’ll be able to find my ir thermometer to check the temperature. Been a little crazy this weekend!
