So… I went to the feed store to get a lot of feed after my practices yesterday and I was so excited to see that TSC had chicks in… so I thought. Anyway, apparently they didn’t have anymore chicks, but they had 9 ducklings!!!!! I only wanted 3, but they said I’d have to get 6 of them, so I was about to leave when my brother (who was with me) ran up to the cashier and order me all 6 of these guys!!! I picked the weakest ones and they are all doing great!!! I took all the horrible looking ones because I couldn’t leave them there!!!

I believe the yellow ones are Pekins, but are the others Mallards or Rouens?!?!? It wouldn’t surprise me if Dawn was a mallard, he’s not as big and is pretty shy 🤣

Awww! I think I see missing hind toes. Am I right? If they are missing the hind toes they're Mallards.
The last two actually do look like Mallards to me.

I don’t think he has a missing toe, but I will go look! Ok, I was kinda wondering, Brandon is very chill, but the other are crazier then crazy!!!

Here you go! I also took a few pictures of the two possible mallards heads. View attachment 3044898View attachment 3044899View attachment 3044901View attachment 3044903
Must have just been the angle then!
They still do look more Mallard like than Rouen like to me honestly, they don't have that second eye stripe, and their feet aren't solid dark like most Rouens I've seen.
If I were you, I'd take and cut off the right hind toe on all of them. That way if they are Mallards you can't get pinched for having unmarked ones. It doesn't hurt them, they won't even bleed. Promise.
Though of course if you don't want to do it, that's up to you.

Would I get in trouble for having them?
