So I survived inherting a flock after Hurricane Harvey and spring came. One trip into TSC and I had chick fever in the worst way! Of course I brought 7 bantams and 2 standard chicks home with me. Almost 3 months later and I still have zero idea of what type they are. Probaby not the ones I inherted either, but everybody is loved and happy. I've even made friends with the roosters and have a favorite! There are 3 different chicks I'm really curious about so attempting to post pics. The first is my favorite Raven. He (I think) is a Bantam, single comb, 3 toes - is that what you call them? Raven has super long legs and his wings are much higher on his body than the other chicks. He is also the friendlist of all the chicks, doesn' mind being handled and loves to chat ya. The second pic is Fluff, Fluff is a bantam and pullet I believe and the biggest "chow chicken" in the bunch, also scared any sort of movement. This may be due to having pasty butt upon arrival home since I forgot to look while at TSC. The last pic is one of my 2 new standard pullets and by far the most unfriendly of all the chicks and chickens. If you look at her she jumps and runs like lightening hit her, so I named her Prisella Persnicky! And of course having chicks meant that one of the hens had to go broody and probably sitting on 7 to 9 eggs. We're on week 2 and I'll have to move her soon, broody box is to high for chicks and this is of course her first time. Thinking I need a chicken tattoo now! Lol
