They were both from the same bin at TSC on 4/28. They were labeled just hatched red sex link pullets. I trusted the store too much (I know better now lol) but these chicks look so different from each other. I can't tell if it's due to being different genders or if they're different breeds.

Pictures from today and one when they were a few days old. Barbara is the yellow one, Billina is redder.

As much as my husband wanted a rooster named Barbara, I'm very glad to hear they're most likely both pullets.

Now watch... My two Barred Rocks will be cockerels. 🤣😳

Thank you all!

Yay, one of my chicks from May looked exactly like the second one from the right in the group photo and I had decided she is a Production Red after looking at a zillion photos on the Internet. She is a much darker burgundy red though.

Here they are this week. She is darker now, getting more patterned feathers. So pretty!

She's beautiful. Mine I think is still more of a burgundy but photo colors aren't always perfect. I want to put a photo of Daisy Mae, that's her name, but they move so quickly and are in an awkward area to photograph. Hopefully building their run this weekend. DM is a bit of a scrapper, lol.
