TSC swap in Augusta, maine civic center drive on saturday, april 30th

Feeling semi guilty about the swap tomorrow. A while back my husband asked me in earnest to please at least discuss it with him before I bring home any new animals. Not only does he not know I am going tomorrow, it is very likely I will find something that I must have. Oh dear...

If they don't sell I will gladly take them in lewiston!

I too thought I might try to parlay my purchases into a Mothers Day gift, but then I felt guilt about that as well.
I am so bad. *lowering my head in shame*

just tell your husband it's an investment. you feed them and they pay you back with eggs and chicks and worse comes to worse, dinner. my husband doesn't seem to mind as long as when winter comes, I have a managable number to winter over, nothing extreme. weasel always seems to make me think I didn't keep enough.
I sold the 2 silkie roosters I brought. seems like mostly older stuff was selling, not so much the young stuff. Free roosters went very well I heard. I'll have more silkies, orpingtons and a few wyandottes either for the swaps or best selection is purchasing prior to.

good for you! I must have been almost across from you then if that was you with the red turkens. I had the black and white silkies and the carrier of chicks.

Did you also have lavender orphs? We were in the black pickup truck, lots of different types of turkens but the pullets sold wicked fast. We also had 2 BLRW pullets and some assorted young roos. In fact my (absolutely wonderful) boyfriend said I should stick more eggs in the bator tonight so we have more turkens for the next swap...

I'm pretty sure he's forgotten about the two new broodies in the coop that I shoved eggs under yesterday (the same day the prior 2 broodies hatched out!).

I'll be at lewiston for sure and oxford .

Todays Swap turned out really well for both sellers and buyers. I got there at 9am and there had to be at least 10 people already set up and selling. I sold 15 Buff Orps and 2 silkies. I also bought 3 Showgirls! All in All it was a great day, the wind was a little chilly at times. Now going to wait for Windsor.
