Turbo Tax for ranchers...Help Needed

After 15 years of telling my Mom she needed to quit paying a tax preparer and do her taxes with Turbo Tax, she has finally come around. For those of you who have a cattle ranch and have used Turbo Tax, which version did you use? There is Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Small Business and who knows what else. Thanks for any help you can give us.

Even with Turbo Tax, it's a lot of work.

I'm glad I have an accountant who takes care of my filings for me. She is the best.

i used the $79 one...forget if it was small business or deluxe.

The farm section confused me! I was not sure how it all applied. Like mileage, gas etc. Was that on the farm or just for the business. i didn't use that part and filled out business part.

Next year , i will have someone do it for me. Seemed like better expense write offs and such using farmer section. propally should get classified as farm next year also. SIGH.......

I use Premier it has Schedule F for Farm Income/Loss

Turbo tax deluxe has the farm/ranch credit info in there. The mid-priced one.

I don't trust myself to figure it all out for our farm/ranch. It's worth the money I pay our CPA to do ours.
