Turkey aggression

Aggression in turkeys can be related to diet.

Food effect on aggressive turkeys.

In my experience, human aggressive turkeys are almost always due to the turkeys being imprinted by people when they are poults. The imprinting removes their ability to understand that people aren't turkeys.
I don't have turkeys yet, but many of these feed recommendations are PROVEN in other species! I have horses and Magnesium DOES calm them a lot! It also works well on humans who can't sleep, but there's one form that penetrates the blood brain barrier best for this purpose. I'd try magnesoum with turkeys who were aggressive. They touched on "excessive heat producing feed", but didn't specify the grain. In horses, we know that corn in the feed makes horses really hyper and they will act out. I'm guessing that cheap feeds use corn as an inexpensive calorie source, and that contributes to the bad behavior. I use Mazuri feed for my ducks and I noticed that they do supplement with amino acids as suggested. If my Turkey was aggressive, I might try a bag of Mazuri and see if the behavior changed before I made them dinner.
