turkey and chickens

i was wondering if someone can help me out.can i raise turkeys with chickens?some people says yes and some no..how far i have to keep them apart if i cant raise them together?thanks

I have had no problem raising chickens and turkeys on the same ground for the last 5 years. However, I do not raise them together.

But yes, there can be issues. I have just gotten lucky I guess

Last spring was my first experience with either bird. The chickens came home first, the turkeys didn't come home until the chickens were already feathered out enough to be outside. Once the turks were old enough to go out everyone free ranged together. The turks did tend to keep to themselves (there were only two of em anyhow).
Mrs. Turkey wintered in the same coop as the hens, eats the same food. Everyone did fine. All look healthy to me.
I am still quite a newbie, and maybe I just got lucky, but for now I don't see a problem with everyone together. The hens do push Mrs. Turkey around, like she doesn't realize she's bigger than they are.
