Turkey breast feathers falling out.

I have 1 male and 2 female broad breasted whites. The males breast feathers are falling out quite bad and now the females are starting to fall out as well. I have checked for external parasites which I can’t see. There getting 17% protein and they have free range over an acre so they would be getting pleanty of grubs etc.

I have no idea what’s causing it, there healthy overwise.

Have you seen any feather picking going on? Have you seen any feathers on the ground? If not, they are being eaten which would suggest they need more protein in their diet.

Could they be molting??

I've never owned turkey's. However, molt can just about occur anytime with chickens, but mostly in the fall.

No , no feathers on the ground. I think you are right about the protein, going to up it and see what happens.
