Turkey Burger has been healing and been with me for a while now.
August has been accepting Turkey Burger more and more. I set their cages next to each other and slowly unveiled obstructions of their views between the cages.(for those of you who have been following my Turkey Burger and August threads you will know what Im talking about).
Anyway this post is about Turkwy Burger.
She?? Is doing better. Her back feathers are growing in very well now theres pics of that here. They look black to me?
Her snood fell off a while ago from the damage.
She is growing and has gained a substantial amount of weight.
I stead of feeling skeleton when I reach up under her to touch her belly and her "drumstick" for lack of a better term, now I can feel the forning of muscle and flesh. Drastic difference!
Her face is filling out nicely too. She is beginning to get a wattle.

I do have some questions and hope someone here can answer them for me.
Can anyone tell me what kind of turkey TB is?
Can anyone questimate an age?
TB was already wandering on the ranch as a young poult I think 2-4 weeks before August hatched. When the poults came they were already probably a couple weeks old I think.
Hatch day for August was Aug 23rd.

TB has no snood as I mentioned above.
But she is very colorful in regards to her head.
She normally has a very calm pale color to her head face neck. But at times it has changed to a darker pink amd I have seen her with a grey tone aswell.
So,could she be a he? Or do females have the color mood change thing too?

Iv included some pics to show her healing and her feather coloring.
Sorry I may have some dup pics because I hit create too soon and I had to edit in the other pics.

I am really hoping the turkey folks here can help me with some sort of identification.
Thank you all for reading hoping you are having a great holiday season!

If you want identification you need to provide full shots. One from the side, one from the front, and one looking down at her from behind including the back of her neck and top of her head.

Still would be better with some standing shots out in natural light so the whole bird can be seen in one shot. If I had to take a guess maybe a bronze bourbon red cross. Head is pretty naked so maybe a Tom. How old again? @R2elk will know better than me though.

I think TB is about 5 months old.
The baldness may have been part of the attack from the other turkeys.
Damaged the snood, yanked feather from neck and head, tore up the back through to the flesh under the skin.
TB could be a Jake but its very hard to tell

Cant really make her stand up as her lwg is still healing from a serious compound fracture and I try to keep her/him as calm and in a resting state as much as possible. She?Already aggrivated it once by being over excited and jumped down out of my arms before being set down.
I have some more pics though that are closer up so I will post them :)

I guess for some reason I forgot about the broken leg. Definitely let it heal up more. It will be the same bird in a few months, and easier to tell what it is. :)
