I taped his leggs together since they were sticking staight out to the sides and he was having trouble walking. But know he just lays there with his leggs out to the side, will he learn to walk or is there something else that I need to do? Will this take very long to correct, he is just 1 day old now.

For what you are describing it is important to use tape to keep the legs from going out to the sides. It usually but not always works. Some just don't make it. It is important to leave between the legs when you tape. Think a string between the legs just to keep them in place. If the legs are firmly taped together the poult can not walk.

Thank you, that was something that I had not thought of, I wasn't finding any string so I took a small rubber band and taped between his legs and he is now setting up and learning to walk with this, thank you so much for the help. I am now going to see if I can do the same for one of my Quail that is the same way.
Thanks again and God Bless.

Great job. He/she will probably be ready to go without the rubber band in a day or two. I am glad you used a rubber band instead of string. The string can get tight and cut off circulation. Not such a great analogy I suppose.

For a Turkey Poult generally a bandaid cut lengthwise will work. place the width of the padded part between the legs and wrap the adhesive around the legs.
It is also important that they can bend their legs early on. I've had poults I've had to carry in my pocket for a few days with their legs bent. If their legs fuse
straight they have a real hard time walking and the ones I've seen haven't made it.

Hope ya good luck with them,
David

Update on the welp, it's walking around just fine with the rubber band and tape and setting normal, took a while but finally got the hang of it. I also took a couple of old hand towels and put them in the temporary box I have them in seems to help all three of them walk better instead of the paper I had them on. The quail that I used thread and tape on took to it faster then the turkey its running around with the rest like nothing is even wrong. Should I leave them or for a week then take them off and see if that cures them or wait longer?

Generally 2 days is sufficient. I'd try taking it off and see how it gets around. If you see it splay again it may need another day or 2.
I'm glad to here you made progress with her.

David
