Turkey Crosses

Hi, all,

I've been perusing the turkey threads and have seen several talk about genetics. But does anyone have pics or have a clue what I'd get if I cross my blue slates with royal palms? Apparently it also matters which color tom is over which color hen and vice versa. Deciding if I will house mine together or keep them separate. FYI, they are just for pets.

Ran your senario on porters genetics calculator

I said with slate tom over palm hens.


50 percent would be tri color mottled black.
50 percent would be tri color mottled slate.

I possibly have some of this cross in my incubator now. I mixed my pens and my blue slate took alpha position over my bourbon red.
