Turkey egg candeling questions

I am on day 13 with the turkey eggs, they were candled yesterday, two did not appear to be developing anything at all, used an LED light on them.
My questions are:
1. Should the eggs look like dark blobs on the inside?
2. Does anyone have pictures of candeling turkey eggs ?
3. Anyone with pictures of candeling turkey eggs as they progress ?
4. Any links to pictures of candeled turkey eggs as they develope? I have searched on the internet, but have not found turkey embryo progression pictures, lots of information on chicken embryo though.

I've had trouble finding good progression turkey candling photos. I actually found a good site once but didn't bookmark it and can't find it again.

I candled mine at day 9. I saw a lot of bright orange. Some clear area and some darkened, but that bright orange is what stood out to me.

When I candled around day 14, they were a darker blob up high but clear down below. I could see movement in 4 of the 5 which I took to be the heart beating. The 5th one looked the same, just no movement. I don't always see movement in chicken eggs either so I'm not too concerned.

As long as they are not clear, I think you are doing OK. And how much you see will depend on your egg shells, your candling equipment and technique. I just use an LED flashlight with new batteries and sort of cup it in my hand. Not sophisticated at all.

That is the way I candled mine also, thank you for the reply, it will be neat to see what hatches out of the standard bronze turkey eggs, 14 more days to go, BTW theit eggs are a light whitish/cram color with speckles.

Candled my 16 midget white eggs tuesday which was day 16 for me...
Had to hold the led flashlight just right to get a good image inside the eggs. These are light
cream color eggs with brown spots. 15 of the 16 had a large black blob inside, with a nice
air cell at one end of the egg. One egg was clear..light showd right through it.

Will candle again on the weekend day 21, but then lock down on thurs-fri night.

Day 17 here on the turkey eggs, candled on day 12, had blobs and air sacks. Hope that they will all hatch out. Got the second batch of turkey eggs going 6 days ago, hope there are lots of poults growing in those also. Chicken eggs due to hatch out April 2nd, don;t know how well they are doing, those dark shelled eggs are almost impossible to candle.

Last candle for my batch of eggs last night Day 21, nice air cell, poults moving below
the air cell. Hope they all hatch...

We typically candle ours at ten days or thereabouts. If your light has any intensity at all you should be able to tell if they're developing or not.
