Okay so tonight I hear one of my baby turkeys in its shell chirping or what ever you want to call it.... anyways it cracks some of the shell and i haven't heard anymore noises from the baby should i worry? Also how long will it take my waiting game has been strong but it's really making me excited for it to hatch but nothing yet pls help do i leave it alone or do i help it out. P.s. I know this site is for chickens but maybe someone has some information on baby turkeys thanks

You can talk as much turkey as you like here, there are lots of turkey folks who would love to join you.

I have not hatched a turkey before, but I have 3 wild ones in the bator now. The same rules apply to turkeys as to chickens, I believe. Leave the egg alone. The chicks rest before making the big push to hatch. It make take hours or days for the zip to happen. Be patient and perhaps by morning you will have a little poult!

Welcome to BYC, BTW!! Good luck with your hatch!

Yeah, don't mess with it. You would possibly harm it if blood vessels are involved, and you could drop the humidity and cause shrink wrapping.

This is the egg that started hatching how does it look like do I walk away and let it do it's own thing or do I help out
