We had received about 350 feet worth of fence panels from a man we know for free so we were thinking of using them to make a turkey pen. Now the main thing is I have not seen anyone on the internet that has used wooden fencing. Is there a reason not to use it or what?? I am confused because this weekend we were going to make a 50x50 pen for the new babies that are hatching as I type.We have a very remote location that does have several different predators so I was thinking it might be good to help with that, but any suggestions or just let me know if you think it would be okay to use this paneling. It is the normal 6x8 foot and we are going to use poultry netting on top to help with the ones that try to come over the fence. Thank you for any help or suggestions you may have.

I cant think of any reason why you cant use them. How big is the hole in the pannels? just make sure they cant get out threw the holes in the pannels

Okay perfect. Yes we have a shed that we plan on putting were an opening is in the fencing and attaching the sides of the fence with the sides of the shed. I just didnt know if the turkeys need to see beyond their fencing.

I know it sounds silly but I just didnt know if it would efftect their mood or health. But thank you so much for your quick response, makes me feel a lot better about using the wood fence.

There aren't any holes in the panel. Its the fencing that you use at residential housing. we are just going to leave a gap for the shed to butt up against the fencing at secure it in place
