Hi, one my last turkey hatch, I had a turkey dead in the shell, perfectly formed, yolk sac absorbed, but not internally pipped or external pip, the lid of the incubator was jousled and was slightly open my humidity was low for about 28 hours. was it the low humidity or was it mal positioned? the head was under the wing when I pulled it out of the egg but I am fairly new to hatching so malpostioning unless really obvious is hard for me.

Did the drop in humidity dry the inner membrane and shrink wrap the baby? Maybe she/he couldn't complete the internal pip. Sometimes one just doesn't make it. I am no expert but I think the head under the wing is correct.

That is what I am thinking, yet it did not look like a shrink wrapped chicken, where the inner memebrane is shrunken tight to the body of the chick, could it just have not been soft enough to pip through because of the humidity not being high enough to soften the membrane? or perhaps it was just not enough room to move in to position
