Hello. We are new with raising Turkeys and we have 2 Bronze Pullets and we have taken them outside when our weather has bees 60+ degrees. They want outside so bad but I am afraid to let them out because the temperature is only 43-50. They are feathered except under their wings on their bodies. Is it safe to let them out or keep them in until it gets warmer? We have chickens and ducks and access to a coop with a heat light that they can go in (they go in there when we have let them out before)
I just don’t want them to get sick and die. I would be devastated because they truly are our favorite out of our flock of many lol
Thanks for your input and help in advance

Young turkeys are poults. Pullets are female chickens that are less than a year old.

If they are fully feathered, they can be outside. You need to be observing them to be able to return them to a warmer place if they start acting like they are cold. In natural conditions, mama is their portable heater. Even day old poults will venture out from under the hen in fairly cool temperatures.

The key is that they have the option to return to their "portable heater" whenever they feel the need.

I knew as soon as I hit the send button I used the wrong word for the turkeys so thank you for correcting me at that as well.
That’s what we have been doing but with this cold snap I was afraid to let them out and they have been standing at our door letting me know they want out and the chickens that usually hang around them are in the stairs looking at them through the glass door.
Thank you for your input and advise
