turkey hen broodiness??

okay so my hen just started laying and i got my second egg today, but both eggs have been in the middle of the floor. so my question is will she use the nest box when she is ready to go broody?

She may not get broody....ever. You could try putting her in the nesting box in the evening just after dark. If she stays there all night and feels secure she may start laying her eggs there but even so not all turkeys are Mama material. My Jefferson is doing the same thing. She just drops an egg underneath the chicken nests and goes about her business. Luckily, I'm incubating her eggs so it's not a problem

sounds like a first year hen?? put a plastic or wooden eggs where you want her to lay and leave the fake one in the nest!!! good luck tom!!
