My turkey hen choked last week while eating some scratch. Luckily we were nearby and blew in her mouth while choking and then we tipped her upside down and there was scratch and liquid coming out. I think possibly when we tipped her back up possibly some of the liquid went in her lung we are not sure. She has been eating some but making a coughing honking noise at times and now it has gotten worse. Sometimes her eyes don’t look like they normally do. She is now opening her mouth some like a yawning motion and doing some honking. We put a little oil down her last week incase something was stuck and that didn’t help. I just started her on Tylan 200 incase she got pneumonia or something. I’m worried if I try putting more oil down her I may choke her and get it down the wrong pipe. We love her and are very worried. Anyone have ideas on how we can help her?
