My Palm Royal breeding pair recently came over with lice (I believe that they had lice when I got them, but just recently, I figured out how to check the for the lice). So I treated as told, with Sevin-5% dust. I powdered them with the dust and lightly did their little area (I let them roam around in the little rabbit barn and outside in their enclosure). I did the dusting on May 11, but on May 13, she developed little scabs on her face. Today, May 15, I go out and do my routine check, and she is turning yellow! She was a little yellow when I got her, but I was told it was from their heavy corn diet.

I feed Rowe 17% Layer (I was told that several of the other turkey raisers feed this, so I was given a free bag to try). They are allowed to eat grass from their patch. We will be adding on more grazing area this weekend.

I am not sure if the tom is maybe doing this to her. I don't think it is diet or the Sevin-5% dust because the tom would look the same way.

In the pictures below, she is wearing a turkey apron I made her.

Here is what she looks like now:

This is what she looked like before the dusting:

The tom has lost a few larger feather, so could she be starting to moult and just is not taking it well?

Thank-you in advance with any help you can offer. These are my 4-H project birds and my first year taking them. There is not a lot of information that I can find online for taking care of them, so I go by what I am told. Maybe I should stop going by what the majority of people tell me, and find a new, better source of information.
