***This is cross-posted in the Turkey Section***
I have a 9mo Narragansett hen that is acting lethargic (she was eating and drinking some earlier today) and has a growth/protrusion where her breast meets her abdomen and slightly to the left. There is no mass in the lump, it feels soft and fluid-filled. When I applied pressure to it (to palpate for an egg) the hen put her head down and a cloudy fluid came out of her beak. I applied pressure once more to make sure the two things were, in fact, connected and it happened again.
Any ideas?
