My 3 Bourbon Red girls started laying about 2 months ago and have been laying almost every day since starting. The last few weeks I have gotten 4 eggs. I have checked everywhere there could be a nest and nothing. I ended up getting some oyster shell today that i will set out tomorrow to see if calcium is the culprit since they have started free ranging more than eating at the barn. None of them are broody. Any advise on other things that could be the problem? Anything I can try to get them to start laying again. This is my first year having turkeys so I am still learning!

If they are free ranging and you have been collecting their eggs daily, the most likely thing is that they have a hidden or several hidden nests.

As early as they started laying, it is possible that they are taking a break. Turkeys are seasonal layers and do not lay year round.

You should have been providing them with free choice oyster shell as soon as they started laying.

They hide them
I searched everywhere, I thought. One year I finally seen an egg peaking out from under some leaves on a fence line I had checked daily. There were a dz and half of eggs covered with leaves. About 3 ft from where they had a nest the year before.
That happens to me every year.

That’s so weird. They were laying in 2 spots for months. Of course we had snow this week so they are probably all frozen. Guess I’ll have to do some major hunting tomorrow. Thanks for y’all’s replies!

Found them. Lol On the second floor of the barn in the corner on shelf So weird
