Is she pecking it? Or could it be another bird?

i have caught her several times pecking at her wing, and her beak is bloody from it.

Have you tried putting Blu-Kote on the wound?

what is that? is it expensive? where can i get it from?

You can find it at any feed store. It comes in either a spray or with a dauber. It is an antiseptic protective wound dressing. The blue color deters pecking at the wound. Be careful to not get it on you as it does not come off easily.

thank you all for replying and attempting to help me. unfortunately, our turkey passed away. i think it had something to do with an internal infection; she had stopped eating so we were having to feed her a specific way, but she was throwing it up. we called a vet and they wanted a lot of money to bring her down there, and we couldn't.

she died peacefully, i'm assuming, as she was just rested up in her nest, as if she was sleeping. she had her friend in there, our other turkey, and we let her spend time with her before dealing with her.

she is maggot free now but we’re dealing with her eating at her wound on her wing. is there any way we can fix this? we had her patched up but she tore it off.
