turkey knee poped out

hi im new here

but i have a royal palm cross around 6 weeks old and her knee poped out last night dont know why
knee joint is black and blue swollen and she can not put weight on it

i have given her a small cage to her self and put hay down for her
i built a sling to keep her off her leg but not sure as to what else to do

any ideas i dont want to put her down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same thing happen to my fav.[the only hen I think] of the 3 BBBs I have. I know they are prone to this but didn't think it would happen at 8wks. I couldn't wait to get home from work and read the responses to your thread...but I guess I'll make my first post here to bump you back up and hope there will be some good news.

My girls knee seems to be popping outward causing a pronounced limp. She seems to just hobble when walking but doesn't appear to be in much pain. She is still feisty and has no prob. keeping her 2 brothers in check.

This site has been a wealth of info to me. I haven't found anything though on sucsessfully taping the knee for support . I'm hopping I just havn't done the right search. I really would hate to put her down too early she's such a sweety,but I don't want her to be suffering either. She can still get up to a 12'" high roost she just isn't too gracefull about it.

Is there anything I can or should do for my poor freind......
