Hi there, we are new turkey owners (had this guy for about a year) and he is limping quite excessively. I'm curious if someone has experience with white turkeys (he is definitely a meat turkey although we are not planning on eating him). I have attempted bumble foot removal from a duck in the past and would not like to try it again to be honest but is it possible that this is something else? We have tried soaking, he is very docile and just laid down in the bucket. Could it be a different infection or disease? He has also lost quite a few feathers (some look like they have broken off) but it's possible he is just molting. I hate to spend a ton of money on a $6 turkey but if there is something that I can do to help him I'm happy to try. I really just don't want him to he suffering. I

Also I should add that he is about a year old, around 30 lbs, our only turkey. He lives with chickens and mostly lives in an enlcosed area with a coop. He will walk around outside the coop on occasion, very talkative, alerting and drinking fine. He largely gets food scraps and crumble chicken grain. Thanks again!

I have a turkey just like that the lose of feathers is just molting and the limping is arthritis. I am sure of it I have my turkey some medication and he is as good as new.
