We are planning to use turkey litter to fertilize our fields on the farm this year. While our backyard chickens will not be in direct contact, there is the potential for songbirds to spread some of it to the yard. Are there any concerns with proximity of litter from commercial houses near our chickens?

I think there is more of a problem when turkeys are exposed to chicken litter, which may expose the turkeys to blackhead. I doubt if the turkey litter would be a problem to the chickens.
