turkey nest boxes?

i have read that peas and especially turkeys will lay wherever they feel like it, but i was going to try my luck and make nest areas or boxes for them and hope they would use them. has anyone had any luck? and if so, what are the measurements of your nest boxes for each? or what did you use that you had for them? what i mean is i used spare 5 gallon buckets for nests for my chickens and they work well.

Unfortunately, I've tried building nest-boxes for my turkeys as well. The boxes were totally ignored for two years before I decided to remove them to save space. If I were you, I wouldn't waste my time with nest boxes for turkeys.

We make ours 18 x 18 inches square in the chicken house or in a range roost. When they find a spot they like to lay in they will lay there every time. If you look in the back right nest box two hens are in it laying.
