I have a turkey hen that I lost for 2 weeks whom i found today in a bush. she is laying on nine turkey eggs and quite a few chicken eggs I have no tom is it possible that she mated with a wild turkey and chances are the chicken eggs are fertile will she be able to raise those chicks or will she reject them? Please help

If they hatch under her she will accept them.

As far as raising them some hens are good mothers some arent.

Most will do ok.

Is the nest in a safe area. I have lost a few on natural nests I didn't find until a predator found it first.

Lots of things are possible. With turkeys it is even possible for parthenogenesis to occur (very rare) where a poult develops without fertilization having taken place. In those cases the poult will always be a male. It occurs most often in Beltsville Small White turkeys.

The problem with leaving both chicken and turkey eggs in the same nest is that the chicks will hatch a week before the poults will hatch thus causing the hen to leave the nest before any poults hatch.

Good luck.

Thank you, I will keep a eye on her and the nest If she leaves the nest once the chicks hatch will it be ok to bring them into the incubator?
