Turkey or duck?

My turkeys love water! They love standing around in their wading pools. When my turkeys fight I have to go in the house to drink a beer. Gotta let them settle it or it will just drag on. A lone tom with chicken hens will not have a good outcome. It would be beneficial to get your hen a turkey roommate. They are very social. She needs someone to gossip about those ducks with. R2elk is not a jerk, he just doesn't sugarcoat anything and is very direct with his comments. I always value his input. And finally...this is my hen Annie.

I never said he was a jerk. It just didn’t seem like advice more then a scolding with how I’ve raised her so far. I am looking into finding her another turkey roommate should I get another hen or should it be a tom?? I don’t particularly want baby turkeys as i wouldn’t know what to do with them when born.. and your turkey is sooo pretty!

@memphis has two turkey hens that get along fine with her chickens. If you aren't wanting more poults, by all means get another hen to keep her company.

I have only hens. Turkey & chicken hens. Rather zen. I dont need to raise birds. My turkey hens are big sweeties! Get along fine with the chickens. They free range together but have separate coops & runs.
