Which turkey is the best for beginners like me?
I wish our mud looked like that

i find a lot of the heritage birds similar in personality. it becomes more a matter of what you want from them...i originally thought i wanted royal palms... but although they are pretty, its not the right turkey for me, i like something more utility
Beautiful turkeys I have 2 blue slates and they are spoiled babies. Do you have any blue slates?

BTW, I'm still a turkey semi-newbie, but I processed my first Midget White a couple of weeks ago, and was very impressed with how much meat I got out of it. DW and I just finished the last of it last night

We processed a wild turkey. The bird was pretty young and small, but I think we did pretty good with our first!
