My bronze turkey poult is around 3-4 weeks old and was developing normally. Yesterday I noticed it was slightly limping and it’s leg looks swollen. No known injury but they have been flighty recently and trying to roost. Still eating and drinking but it is a little “puffed up” which makes me think it’s distressed. I can’t feel any obvious fracture or abnormalities. I tried to get pictures, it’s the right leg.
Any advice? Should I splint this?

It could be a sprain or tendon injury. Splinting is a bit dicey when they is swelling that could cut off circulation. I would make sure that she doesn’t overuse the leg or try to roost. If you pad it and splint it in a normal position slightly bent, be sure to check it often for circulation and warmth. I would tend to not splint it, but I am not a vet.

I too have a similar thing going on with one of our turkey poults. These guys arrived on April 1st, so they're two weeks old. This one was growing fine, better even than the others, but all of a sudden this evening it was struggling to stand, feet clearly splayed a little, and panting. The brooder is not slippery, and the temp is just right. The other poults are fine. Any suggestions would be helpful. Currently I have it taped with self stick gauze as if it had spraddle leg, but I don't know if that is the problem.

Check my posts and responses at Chicken Poika turkey leg injury. I’ve been having something similar.
