Hi All! Our turkeys hatched out 6 poults yesterday and one of the poults has a leg issue. I'm not sure if it got stepped on by a momma but the leg is a dark red color and is swollen with a fluid filled blister down near the toes. It doesn't want to walk on it and when held the leg goes limp and turns inward. The blister just continues to get bigger and the whole leg is swelling with the toe nails that are black. I'm not sure what is the problem or what to do.
Has anyone ever had this happen? We had to take the poults from the mamas because they weren't leaving their unhatched eggs to take care of the hatched poults. I did notice that right after hatching the leg was a different color than the other one but its now even worse. Thanks!
